The Hopewell congregation warmly invites you to come to worship, study, and fellowship with us. We think that you will find us to be authentic followers of Jesus Christ, acknowledging our daily need for the loving grace of our Lord and Savior and journeying together to become more like the people that God calls us to be.

Hopewell Moravian Church
Meet Pastor Walter Bishop
I would like to personally invite you to come and check out our community of faith. I first experienced this congregation much as you might – as an unknown visitor taking a seat in a pew during worship. What I found was a welcoming group of followers of Jesus Christ that made sincere efforts to connect with and welcome me. That was four years before I became the pastor at Hopewell.  I continue to see that welcoming spirit at work in our people. We recognize that we are not perfect, and we don’t expect you to be, either. So please come, join with us, and let us together share in discovering and navigating both the joys and the challenges of life as a Christian in today’s world. – Pastor Walter Bishop.

The Congregation's Watchword for 2015:
Boaz said to Ruth, "May you have a full reward from the Lord, under whose wings you have come for refuge!"  (Ruth 2:12)

Other refuge have  I none;
hangs my helpless soul on Thee;
leave, ah, leave me not alone,
still support and comfort me.
All my trust on Thee is stayed,
all my help from thee I bring;
cover my defenseless head
with the shadow of Thy wing.
